Dr. Joe Griffin
Dr. Joe Griffin is a sought-after keynote speaker, educational consultant, and author. Dr. Griffin lives in Los Angeles, CA but was born and raised in Clarksdale, MS, known as, “The Home Of The Blues”. Dr. Griffin distinguished himself as a transformational educational leader early in his career as an educator. As principal, Dr. Griffin helped improve student achievement at five schools and has helped many other schools as a teacher, assistant principal, and global consultant.
As a highly regarded school leadership and instructional practices presenter, Dr. Griffin’s research and work continue to impact schools by helping forge team bonds that create a culture of collaboration. As a prolific writer, Dr. Griffin has authored seven books on instructional, cultural, and organizational leadership principles. Dr. Griffin also hosts his “Speaking Life Into You” Leadership Livestream/Podcast every Tuesday evening during the school year at 4 PST, 5 MST, 6 CST, and 7 EST.
Dr. Griffin is the father of two young men, Joezon and Jayden Griffin. Growing up in a single-parent home, Dr. Griffin is a product of triumph. Dr. Griffin overcame the influences of “gang wars” and racial tension while accomplishing his dream of playing basketball on a collegiate scholarship, standing at just five feet seven inches. He also gained his A.A. and B.A. in English from HBCU Coahoma Community College and Belhaven University. He later attained his master’s degree (M.Ed.) in secondary education at Delta State University and his specialist (Ed.S.) and doctoral degrees (PhD) in Educational Leadership at the University of Southern Mississippi at Hattiesburg, MS. Dr. Griffin is the recipient of many prestigious leadership and community awards such as an Administrator of the Year Award, Dynamic Teacher Award, the Delta Sigma Theta Educational Development Red Award, and the Outstanding Educational Leadership Award.
